Fishing 2017
Due to Spruce Island Camps location being as close to the middle of Lake of The Woods as you can get, there is an abundance of fish species and fishing opportunities close by. Not to mention the low fishing pressure and boat traffic, unlike some more populated areas of the lake. Within minutes of leaving your dock you can find trophy Musky, Walleye, Bass and Northern Pike fishing spots and in some cases one does not even have to leave the island, as there have been many large fish caught from the shores of Spruce.
Walleye:
Opens the 3rd Saturday in May.
Sport License:
Catch and keep per day is two with a total of four in possession (cannot catch and keep all four in one day). Only one can be greater than 18.1 inches.
